Jim Cooper, a renowned ceramicist and kiln builder, has been a pivotal figure in the ceramics community for over 40 years. Based in Colorado, Jim founded Cooper Kilns in the mid-1990s, transforming his passion for ceramics into a successful kiln company that now rivals industry giants. Known for his custom-built, energy-efficient kilns, Jim's innovative designs—such as modular systems and eco-friendly models—earned him a local and national reputation. Jim Cooper sold Cooperworks kilns to AlSi Ceramics in the summer of 2024. We continue to serve the ceramics community based on the standards and care he set forth.
